The short answer

Looking for a My Trip Online cancel subscription guide? You can cancel your subscription at any time, free of charge. There are three ways to do it:

  • the cancellation option in your Member Area;
  • the unsubscribe page on the website, which works without logging in;
  • a request to customer support by email, on the UK phone line or through the Member Area chat.

What it costs to cancel, and when

Cancel within the 3-day free trial and you won’t pay for the subscription at all. Once the first payment has gone through, cancelling means no further charges, but your membership keeps running until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. The full rules are set out in the My Trip Online subscription terms.

Method 1: cancel through your account

This option suits you if you can sign in. The Member Area is the private part of the website where you manage your membership and services.

  • Click Log in at the top of the My Trip Online website.
  • Enter the email address linked to your account. If you never created a password, pick Login with Magic Link, and the site will email you a sign-in link. Members who have a password can use Login with Password instead.
  • Once you’re in the Member Area, find the subscription cancellation option and select it.
  • Confirm that you want to cancel.
  • My Trip Online will send you an electronic acknowledgement within 48 hours to show that your request has been received.

Method 2: use the unsubscribe page

The My Trip Online unsubscribe page lets you cancel without signing in. All it takes is access to the email address you used when you joined.

  • Open the subscription cancellation page directly, or reach it through the Unsubscribe link at the top or bottom of any page on the site.
  • In the email field, enter the address you used when you created your account.
  • Click Send me the link.
  • Open the email from My Trip Online and follow the link to confirm the cancellation.

You don’t have to explain why

You don’t have to say why you are leaving. Your cancellation request is sent as soon as you confirm it through the link.

Method 3: contact customer support

Support can help when the self-service options don’t fit your case. That might be the case if your old email address is no longer in use, or if you’d like to raise a question about a recent charge while cancelling.

Agents are available every day of the week between 9am and 8pm. You can send a cancellation request:

  • by email to contact@my-trip-online.com, with replies within 24 hours;
  • by phone on the UK line, +44 203 936 0018;
  • through the chat in your Member Area.

What to have ready before you write or call

For questions about your subscription, the team also answers on WhatsApp and on regional lines in Germany (+49 800 1810799), Spain (+34 900 752 438) and France (+33 1 89 76 01 71).

Have a few details ready before you write or call: your full name, the email address your subscription is registered to and the order number shown in your confirmation email. State clearly that you want to cancel your subscription. If you are within 14 days of subscribing and want to withdraw from the contract, say so as well. The guide to My Trip Online customer service covers every channel in more detail.

What happens after cancellation?

My Trip Online acknowledges each cancellation request electronically within 48 hours. This email shows that your request has reached the team, so keep it as a record of the date you sent it.

The next steps depend on when you cancel.

  • During the 3-day free trial: cancellation takes effect immediately and no subscription payment is taken. A check-in or fast track you already ordered is not affected.
  • After the first payment: your benefits remain available until the end of the current billing period. No further payments are taken after that date.
  • Within 14 days of subscribing: in most cases, you have 14 calendar days from the contract date to exercise your right of withdrawal. The contract ends once you notify the company. Any amount owed to you is refunded within 14 days, minus a proportionate charge for services already provided at your request.

Refunds once the withdrawal period is over

Once the withdrawal period is over, you won’t get a pro rata refund for the paid part of the current billing period. The general terms and conditions set out the exceptions, such as a service you paid for but never received, a technical error or a double charge. When a refund of this kind is approved, the money goes back to your original payment method within 14 days.

Services you asked to start early affect what you get back. If a service was only partly provided, you may still owe a proportionate amount for the part you used. If a digital service, such as a check-in, was fully provided after you agreed to its immediate start and confirmed you understood the consequence, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that service.

What if you cannot cancel?

Usually the cause is something small, like a mistyped address or a sign-in method you haven’t tried yet. Check the situation that matches yours.

  • The email with the link hasn’t arrived. It may have landed in your spam or promotions folder, so look there first. The link only goes to the address your account was created with, which means a different or mistyped email won’t receive it. You can ask for a new link on the unsubscribe page whenever you need one.
  • The link doesn’t open. Ask for a new link and try opening it in a different browser or on a different device. Should that not help either, send support a short note saying you’ve already tried to cancel on the website.
  • You can’t sign in. The login page offers two sign-in methods, so if one doesn’t work for you, try the other. Lost access to the email account itself? Then call support on the UK line and give your full name and order number to help the team locate your subscription.
  • No acknowledgement has arrived within 48 hours. Get in touch with support and mention when you sent the request, so the team can look into what happened to it.

How long does it take to cancel a My Trip Online subscription?

Sending the request takes a few minutes with any of the three methods. My Trip Online acknowledges receipt electronically within 48 hours.

How do I know my cancellation went through?

Within 48 hours, My Trip Online emails you to say your request has been received. This message confirms receipt, not the final status of your subscription. To see the status, log in to your Member Area or ask customer support. If the email hasn’t come after 48 hours, contact support and tell them the date you sent the request.

Will I be charged again after I cancel?

No. Cancelling stops all future payments. If you cancel after a payment, no new charge is taken when the next billing date arrives. For active members, the company also sends an email at least 14 days before each billing date after the first payment. It states the amount, the date and a direct link to cancel.

Can I still use the service after cancelling?

It depends on timing. A cancellation during the free trial takes effect right away. After the first payment, your benefits remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Within 14 days of subscribing, you can usually withdraw from the contract and get back any amount due, minus the cost of services you have already used. This right does not cover a digital service that was fully provided after you agreed to its immediate start. Once the 14 days have passed, a paid billing period is not refunded, except in cases such as double billing or a service that was not provided.
